Edu-Guard AI is a platform designed to help school districts and educators rigorously evaluate and select educational technology (edtech) tools. Inspired by the growing concern over “too many tools, not enough impact” and the need for evidence-based decision-making in edtech procurement, Edu-Guard AI provides a structured framework for assessing edtech based on key indicators like safety, evidence of efficacy, inclusivity, interoperability, and usability. The platform leverages AI to analyze vendor data, pilot study results, and teacher feedback, helping districts identify “zombie licenses” and ensure their edtech stack aligns with specific learning needs and instructional goals, ultimately proving the value of their technology investments.
