Edu-Shield AI is a platform designed to help school districts critically evaluate and select educational technology (edtech) tools. Inspired by the growing concern over “too many tools, not enough impact” and the need for evidence-based decision-making in edtech procurement, Edu-Shield AI provides a structured framework for assessing tools based on key indicators like safety, evidence of efficacy, inclusivity, interoperability, and usability. The platform leverages AI to analyze vendor data, research studies, and user feedback to provide districts with objective, data-driven recommendations, helping them move from “does this look cool?” to “does this work?” and avoid “zombie licenses.”
