ChargeSense is a mobile application and data platform designed to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) charging experience by addressing common pain points related to charging station design and usability. Inspired by reports of “piss poor charging station design” leading to tickets and general auto dealer knowledge gaps, ChargeSense allows EV drivers to report and rate charging stations based on factors like accessibility, cable length, parking space design (e.g., ability to back in safely), lighting, and overall user-friendliness. The platform aggregates this crowdsourced data to provide a “usability score” for each station, helping drivers avoid problematic locations. It also offers a knowledge base with local parking regulations relevant to EV charging and best practices for safe and efficient charging, bridging the information gap for new and experienced EV owners alike.
