Inspired by the Geely and Renault collaboration on compact EV retrofit engines, EvoDrive Retrofit offers a solution to accelerate EV adoption and sustainability. We provide modular, compact engine-generator units that can be retrofitted into existing internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, transforming them into range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs). This allows vehicle owners to significantly reduce emissions and fuel consumption without the high cost of a new EV. Additionally, our system can be installed in existing battery electric vehicles (BEVs) to alleviate range anxiety, providing a reliable backup power source for extended journeys. This approach extends the lifespan of current vehicles, making the transition to electric mobility more accessible and affordable, especially in markets facing high new EV import duties.
